Facts you might not know about buying jeans
One thing you probably do know: fit is everything. At Chantilly Blue, we carry a wide variety of jeans from premium denim manufacturers. Each line has a distinctive shape, look and feel. Each has a distinctive approach to overall effect. The following items are some of the things that we consider when you come into Chantilly Blue looking for jeans.
Long waisted? Short waisted?
Many women don't know. Just tell us how you want the jeans to fit, whether it's at your navel or well below and we'll take care of the rest.
Small behind?
Pocket placement can make all the difference. As can pocket stitching's shape and color.
Curvy behind?
Your problem is most often finding a jean that fits in the hips and doesn't gap at the waist. We have several styles that answer that issue. We evaluate your size and take this figure into account to find a jean that doesn't gap. If it gaps, it's not your fit, and shouldn't be purchased.
Need to minimize thighs?
Some denim designers cut full in the thigh, and cut the denim to give the leg a longer look. We know which ones to reach for.
You'll get what you pay for
Expect to pay between $150-$200 for a good pair of jeans. (Hemming, if necessary will be extra.) Remember: you get what you pay for in denim. Premium denim, when it's the right fit, will not get baggy or out of shape. It should be snug at first, and perfect within 20 minutes as the fabric relaxes. Less expensive brands tend to fit in the store and then end up baggy everywhere - not so flattering.
You are unique
Don't go looking for the jeans that your friend has unless you are identical twins. And even then, not so much. Every woman is different! As it should be.
